SEO title: Why People Are Relocating to Boca Raton in 2026
Meta description: Boca Raton keeps drawing newcomers. A local agent explains why families, professionals, and retirees are relocating to Boca in 2026 — and what to know.
Boca Raton has been on a roll, and I get calls about it constantly. There's a reason it keeps landing on "best places to live" lists and pulling in families and professionals from all over. Here's my take on why Boca is having such a moment — and what you should know before you join them.
Boca does upscale-but-livable really well. Beautiful beaches, world-class golf and country clubs, great shopping at Mizner Park and Town Center, top-tier dining, and a clean, polished feel throughout the city. It's coastal luxury without feeling stuffy.
Boca and the surrounding Palm Beach County area have strongly regarded public and private schools, and that pulls in families hard. A lot of my relocation clients put schools at the very top of the list, and Boca answers that.
Boca isn't just a retirement town anymore. Corporate offices, a growing professional scene, and remote workers relocating from the Northeast have made it younger and more dynamic than its old reputation suggests.
From active-adult resort communities to family-focused clubs, Boca's country club scene is one of the richest in the country. Whether you golf or just want the amenities and social life, there's a community for you (I've got a whole post on those).
Boca is a premium market. Home prices run high, insurance is a real cost, and many of the best communities carry HOA and membership fees. The upside — no state income tax, strong resale, and a lifestyle people happily pay for. I just make sure clients see the full all-in number before falling in love.
If you want polish, great schools, and resort-style living, Boca is tough to beat. If you want more urban energy or a lower cost of entry, we might look a little north or south. Either way, I know this market inside and out — let's grab a coffee and figure out if Boca's your place.
Have questions about the Fort Lauderdale market or thinking about buying or selling? I’d be happy to help!
